24 Hour Play Festival

Join us for a weekend of original plays at the Newport Opera House, in Newport, NH!
Register as a playwright, director, or an actor. After everyone gathers Friday night at 7 pm, playwrights will write 10-minute plays by Saturday morning.
Directors and actors will be divided in to casts for Saturday rehearsals and will perform the original plays for the public Saturday evening at 7 pm!
Registration fee: $50.00

The Newport Opera House Association proudly presents “A Hollywood Cabaret,” an original cabaret-style show directed by Newport-native Danielle Cherry!
Get ready to experience the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown as we bring the magic of the silver screen to life right here in Newport. With a stellar cast of both familiar faces and fresh talent, this cabaret-style extravaganza will have you tapping your toes and singing along to songs from your favorite films!
From the enchanting melodies of La La Land to the iconic tunes of Singin’ in the Rain, from the electrifying energy of Grease to the whimsical charm of Barbie, we’re bringing the best of Hollywood to our stage.
But that’s not all! As a ticketed guest, you’ll be treated to the full Hollywood experience with a red carpet entrance, glamorous photography opportunities, and an atmosphere that’s pure Hollywood magic. Guests are encouraged to dress for an evening out on the town! Arrive anytime from 6 PM on to walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, mingle and to get ready for a fabulous evening!
