Dear Friends of the Newport Opera House Association:
This past year has been one of excitement and growth for the Newport Opera House Association. Our season ended with a very successful community theatre production of GUYS AND DOLLS. It was at that time that our good friend Roy M. Malool presented us with a matching challenge that encouraged the community to donate to the NOHA with the understanding that every dollar collected would be matched by his foundation. The generosity of our patrons was outstanding, but that money alone does not ensure the stability of the organization. Even though the Roy M. Malool Challenge has ended, his personal challenge for each of us to become more involved in the NOHA continues. We must keep the challenge alive if we are to continue to enjoy the wide variety of cultural and entertainment programs that you have come to expect at the Newport Opera House.
As we start our Annual Membership Drive we want to invite you to become a member of the Newport Opera House Association family. The enclosed membership pledge form explains the different levels of giving. The Newport Opera House Association is an IRS recognized 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Your donation will entitle you to be included in advance mailings for special events as well as having your name displayed on the membership board located in the lobby of the Opera House and in the program of all major productions. Your greatest benefit will come from knowing that you are supporting an organization dedicated to providing the community with quality arts and entertainment at an affordable price.
In times of economic uncertainty it is extremely important that we continue to support the arts as they reflect the soul of the nation. The Newport Opera House belongs to you, and it is our goal to engage all members of the community in the programming and activities that we produce.
Sincerely,
Charles H. Massey
Executive Director, N.O.H.A.
