I am proud to announce the upcoming events for The Newport Opera House Association 2012-2013 season. As you will see NOHA is moving forward with a combination of traditional community events coupled with some new and exciting offerings.
Our focus this season is to expand our educational opportunities from dance lessons before the Swing dance, to day time school matinees for Newport and area schools, to an all youth musical, and we will be working hard to broaden the offerings here to appeal to as many people as possible. The NOHA and its future are dependent on the generous support of patrons like you and so we hope you will contribute both your time and money to help us continue bringing art and entertainment that will make you laugh, cry, sing, dance and learn.
The big news in the office is the upgrade to a web based box office program that will allow our members and one time customers the opportunity to purchase their tickets online anytime day or night, and even select their seat. Members will be able to purchase their tickets to any of our listed season events the moment their membership has been processed and well in advance of ticket sales to the general public. This will ensure that those of you that support us get the first opportunity to the seats we know you will want. In addition we will be able to process your membership online through the very same program. Members will still receive reminders of upcoming events and one-time events that pop up on our calendar and will find a host of membership perks such as opening night Champagne toasts, back stage tours, private members functions and memorabilia from this seasons shows.
Those of you who know and love the Opera House, we ask you once again to help support us and to those of you who have never been to our Opera House we ask that you consider becoming involved. Please take a moment to look over the membership benefits and see what level of support best suits you.
My goal is to create a place that continues to bring us all together and nurture the creative talents that already exist right here in Newport and our surrounding areas. I hope that as I grow into this position many of you find a way to come along on one of our journeys as well.
