About the Show<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Was it Miss Scarlet in the library with the candlestick? Or Colonel Mustard in the study with the wrench?<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the beloved board game and the cult-classic film, Clue<\/em> is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud murder mystery packed with eccentric characters, hilarious twists, and nonstop physical comedy. Set in a mysterious mansion in 1954, six suspicious guests arrive for an unusual dinner party\u2014only to find themselves tangled in a web of blackmail, secrets, and murder. As the bodies pile up, everyone becomes a suspect!<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying community theatre for the first time, Clue<\/em> offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a hilarious ensemble production.<\/span><\/p>\n

Audition Information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script<\/strong> with other auditionees on stage. No prepared monologue is required.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because Clue<\/em> is an ensemble comedy, most readings will be done in groups. Please plan to arrive as close to 7:00 PM as possible<\/strong> so you can participate in the group audition process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those auditioning are welcome to attend both Tuesday and Wednesday evening auditions<\/strong>, although it is not necessary<\/strong> to be considered for casting. On the second evening, preference will be given to those who have not yet auditioned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Callbacks<\/strong>, if needed, will be held on Thursday, September 10<\/strong>, and may not include everyone being considered for roles.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Character Notes<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The characters may be inspired by the classic board game, the Paramount Pictures film, or a combination of both. Every character should be portrayed as larger than life<\/strong>, embracing the show’s broad comedy, colorful personalities, and quick pacing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Character ages are intentionally flexible, with roles suitable for actors who can convincingly portray adults ranging from their mid-20s to 60s. While no specific ages are assigned, each character has a colorful past that suggests a certain level of maturity\u2014some with more history than they’d care to admit!
